Can a client leave PDF comments from a phone?

By the Docmend team · Updated 2026-10-13

Short answer

Yes. With the Docmend Chrome extension, you upload the PDF, choose Get feedback, then Create review link. The review link is a normal web page and works in mobile browsers. The client selects the words they mean and leaves a note with just their name, without an account. You then download the PDF with those notes as real PDF comments.

The review link is read-only, so the client can highlight, comment, and approve or sign, but not change your PDF. See also how to collect comments on a PDF with a link and whether a reviewer can edit your file.
