Common questions

Is it free?

Yes. Free recordings are up to 45 seconds, and each video can get 10 comments. Shared links are kept for 30 days. Docmend Pro ($4 a month) records up to 10 minutes with unlimited comments and keeps videos for a year. Pro Plus ($6 a month) keeps them until you delete them.

Is there a library of all my videos?

Yes, and it’s free. Create a free account and your videos page lists every recording on any device, with its views, comments and replies. You can rename, copy the link, download or delete each one.

Do I or my viewers need an account?

No. You record and share from this page. Viewers open the link in any browser, add their name, and comment or reply with a video.

What can I record?

On a computer: your whole screen, one window or one browser tab, with your microphone, a camera bubble and the tab’s sound. On a phone: your camera and voice.

Where are my videos kept?

Nothing leaves your computer until you choose Get share link. Then the video is uploaded to Docmend so the link works. You can delete it at any time from Your recordings on this page, and free links are deleted automatically after 30 days.

Can I download the video instead?

Yes. Download saves the recording to your computer as a video file, and nothing is uploaded.

How do I use Docmend Pro here?
