Common questions

Are the highlights saved inside the PDF?

Yes. The downloaded file has the highlights built into the pages, so they show in any PDF reader, on a phone and when you print.

Can I remove a highlight?

Yes. Click it and press the × button or the Delete key. A highlight that spans several lines is removed in one go.

Is my PDF uploaded?

No. The PDF opens and is saved in your browser, so nothing leaves your computer.

Does it work on a scanned PDF?

A scan is a picture, so there are no words to snap to. You can still drag a box over the part you want to mark.

Is it free?

Yes, with no limits and no account.
