How to compress an image

  1. Choose one or more pictures.
  2. Pick a quality, or a size the file must stay under.
  3. Click Compress and see how much smaller each picture is.

Common questions

Will the photo look worse?

At the suggested quality of 72, most photos look the same on a screen and the file is often less than half the size.

Why didn’t my PNG get smaller?

PNG has no quality setting. Save it as JPG or WebP to make it much smaller, or pick a target size and Docmend makes it smaller in pixels.

Are my photos uploaded?

No. Docmend works on the picture inside your browser, so it never leaves your phone or computer.
